Kansas Courts e-Filing

The Kansas Courts e-Filing initiative will move all Kansas state courts from a paper-based system to one that relies on electronic documents. All district courts and the appellate court are able to receive and store electronic documents, saving paper, space, time and money.

In 2013, lawyers in private and public practice volunteered to test the Kansas Courts e-Filing system to file documents with the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and District Courts. The Supreme Court, Appellate Court and all District Courts are accepting e-Filed documents in most all case types. Several Judicial Districts have mandated e-Filing. To view those Administrative Orders, please navigate to the public website at www.kscourts.org under the Electronic Filing section.

Currently, only lawyers who are licensed in Kansas may use Kansas Courts e-Filing.
